The best introduction to Japanese language and culture is a learning program combining large cities with visits to regional towns, showcasing old and new cultural experiences.
Travelling by high speed train the program is easily adapted to visit your sister school or for any other cultural experience you may like to add.

Important Travel Insurance Information

Tour Itinerary
Peace and Culture Tour
Day 1: Australia - Osaka
On arrival meet our representative after you collect your baggage. They will assist you with your JR Pass exchange (if required) before your group transfers to your hotel (by train or coach) and check in.
Experienced teachers may choose to follow their own sightseeing path today using the train network to see places of interest. Alternatively, we will recommend an itinerary today which will see you returning to your hotel mid-afternoon to rest before dinner this evening at your hotel.
Please note you may be on an overnight flight and check in may not be possible. Drop your bags at the hotel and continue with your program for today.

Day 2: Osaka
After breakfast take the local train to the famous Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. Take your lunch at the many food court options nearby before returning by train to downtown Osaka and visit Osaka Castle. Return to your hotel at your leisure in time for dinner this evening.

Day 3: Osaka – Nara – Kyoto
After breakfast and check out*, catch the train to Nara, and as you exit the station you will begin to encounter the famous Nara deer on the streets. Walk to Todai-ji Temple to visit the giant Buddha and the Nandai-mon Gate before making your way to Isui-en Gardens then return to the station. Take the train to Kyoto arriving late afternoon and make your way to the hotel by foot (its located close to the station). Own arrangements this evening, we recommend dinner in the food court below your hotel. We recommend you Takkyubin your luggage to Kyoto, please ask us for more information

Day 4: Kyoto
After breakfast explore Kyoto(self-guided) and all its cultural highlights. From temples, pavilions palaces and shrines the choice is yours but be sure to allow time to visit the spectacular Teramachi and Shinkyogoku market and shopping district during the day. Dinner is arranged for this evening at a local restaurant.
We can suggest a walking itinerary for today, including some travel by local bus. Please contact us for more information.
A guide can be provided for today for teachers not experienced with leading groups in Japan

Day 5: Kyoto
After breakfast make your way to Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and Monkey Park, returning to the Kyoto downtown area around lunchtime. After lunch (OA) there are many wonderful temples and shrines to visit, select your preferred and most convenient and enjoy this aspect of Japanese culture.
Return to your hotel in time for dinner this evening.

Day 6: Kyoto – Kobe – Kyoto
After breakfast take the local train* to nearby Kobe. On arrival, make your way on foot to the Kobe Earthquake Museum, an institution dedicated to earthquake risk management and education. There are 4 floors of interesting and educational displays, with English self-guided headsets available (along with English speaking guides to assist).
If you want to use your JR Pass you will get off at Shin-Kobe station therefore may need a transfer. We will advise you.

Day 7: Kyoto – Hiroshima
After breakfast make your way to Kyoto station for the train to Hiroshima. Walk to the hotel nearby on arrival and check in. Make your way on foot to the Peace Park, A-Bomb Dome and Museum and spend the afternoon in reflection before returning to your hotel. Enjoy some leisure time before dinner this evening.

Day 8: Hiroshima
After breakfast today is allocated as a free day in Hiroshima to explore the city, pick up some last minute shopping for family and friends.
A farewell dinner is arranged for tonight

After breakfast make your way to the station and head to the airport for your flight home
